Hello! Don't let the pictures above fool you. Despite a very painful afternoon in the emergency room this past Wednesday, I'm fine. An unexpected and unexplainable panic attack, coupled with flu-like symptoms, caused a bit of a dizzy spell with some chest pains while I was at work- and I headed to the hospital just to make sure everything was okay.
To my relief, all of my vitals, blood work, and x-rays came back just fine, and I was told to take it easy, drink lots of fluids, and get plenty of rest for the next few days. I already feel a lot better than I did after I left the ER, save for the bruises on my arm where the nurse poked and prodded me to take blood. Ouch!
But on a more upbeat note (because hospital visits aren't exactly a fun topic of conversation)- I can't believe it's December already! I'm getting ready to set up my Christmas tree, finish up a couple of crazy, over-the-top homemade holiday cards for some friends on the West Coast (as has been the tradition for the past six or several years), and am shamelessly blasting Christmas music non-stop, like this- which is one of my absolute all-time favorite Christmas songs:
Perry Como's "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays" is also one of my favorites:
SO GOOD.
And my beloved Killers boys, in another holiday tradition I can get behind 100%- released their annual Holiday single on the 1st. All proceeds from this year's track, "The Cowboy's Christmas Ball", go towards RED to help fight AIDS.
The song is pretty awful, I can't even deny it, but the video is too damned cute for words so I'm all about it- especially for such a good cause:
